His ‘n Her’s Charity Lunch Captured On Camera!

The Caroline Foundation held its sixth annual luncheon at The Marker Hotel on Friday 5th October. The His ‘n Hers lunch once again raised much needed funds for The Cancer Clinical Research Trust (CCRT) devoted to furthering the development of new treatments for cancer under Professor John Crown at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Over 230 people attended the lunch which as always was hosted by Broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan.

A lively, humorous and insightful address was given by key note speaker Chris Donoghue while the surprise guest appearance by Elvis (aka Stephen Hegarty) had guests on their feet dancing to ‘Sweet Caroline’.

Professor John & Orla Crown were among the guests, as were Bobby & Mary Kerr, Peter & Moira Murtagh. Dublin’s corporate sector was well represented and all agreed it was a wonderful afternoon.

Guests enjoyed a champagne reception, sponsored by Fitzers Catering, followed by a fabulous three-course lunch prepared by The Marker’s outstanding Chef Gareth Mullins. Auction items included a 3-night stay in L’Ermitage Viceroy Hotel in Beverley Hills, ‘Stirring the Emotions’ a painting by Niall Leavy, a wonderful Anthony Peto Hat, Hozier Concert Tickets, Teeling Single Malt with many other items such as vouchers from Photogenic Photographers or Up to my Eyes as well as overnight stays at Ireland’s best hotels.
