JOIN US FOR OUR DECORATED NAUTICAL HAT COMPETITION IN GREYSTONES ON SUNDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER 2016. Prize details HERE.

We are aiming for 2,000 HATS DECORATED WITH A NAUTICAL THEME on Greystones Marina – any hat with any decoration such as shells, fish, rope, boats, nautical colours, sand, bucket and spades; etc. etc. Be as creative as your imagination will bring you! We are delighted to have on board milliner Martha Lynn and TV presenter & fashion fanatic Emily O’Donnell as our judges.

As it is a fundraiser we are asking entrants to donate € 10 per hat or € 25 per family. The Guinness World Records state that only one hat can be entered in any person’s name.

Will you join us in making this happen?

We would really be grateful for your help in either of the following ways:

1. As an INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER – Would you be willing to DECORATE A HAT AND DONATE € 10 ? OR ENTER YOUR FAMILY FOR € 25 ? If so, PLEASE get in touch for full details.

2. As a TEAM LEADER – Would you be willing to collect 10 HATS at € 10 a Hat from friends and neighbours? If so, PLEASE get in touch for full details. Think about this – are there 9 other people in your PLACE OF WORK? COMPANY? RESIDENTIAL ESTATE? CLUB? Etc. that you could invite to participate in setting a new Guinness World Record – have a great day out and help others at same time? We would just love to hear from you.

So, in summary:
1 INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER = 1 HAT

1 TEAM = 10 HATS

Both individual volunteers, team members and Team Leaders would ideally turn up on the day – Sunday 11th September from 10.30am to 12.30pm. HOWEVER, hats may be entered EVEN IF THE OWNER CANNOT ATTEND – just let us know.

OUR AIM IS TO HAVE 200 TEAMS – It is our hope that this will be a FUN, FAMILY DAY OUT with music and street entertainment to add to the atmosphere.

VERY IMPORTANT: Naturally, from an organisational perspective the more TEAM LEADERS we can get the better! However, we will be most grateful for whatever support you are happy to give.
