Once in a lifetime opportunity to become the proud owner of an original painting ‘SEA STACK’ generously donated to The Caroline Foundation by Ireland’s foremost portrait artist Mick O’Dea (RHA). You are invited to participate in a limited raffle for this amazing prize – only 100 tickets available  at €100 per ticket. The painting is on acrylic canvas (140cm x 100cm) and gallery value of €8,000 – €10,000. The draw will take place on Friday 6th October at our annual charity lunch in The Marker Hotel.

The painting is of a Sea Stack off the coast of North Mayo. It is one of a number of sea stacks that Mick O’ Dea has been painting over the last 20 years. In the artist’s own words:

As a portrait painter I tend to paint  portrait-type objects which act as surrogate heads or figures and whose character, presence and resilience have impressed me.  These stacks after all, have been cut away and stand proud and isolated from the mainland
