Guinness World Record (subject to official ratification) shattered in Greystones today!!!

Hundreds of families and supporters with all sorts of wonderful creative hats turned up in the new Marina in Greystones this morning. A carnival festive atmosphere with music, hat decorations, face painting and general craic. Just after noon the MC Mike Glynn announced that the final official count was 1,411 hats!! Beating the previous record held by Portugal by 68. After loud cheers the judges – Martha Lynn, Prof John Crown, Emily O’Donnell & Bebhinn Flood announced the ten finalists for the most creative hats. All were invited on stage and the winner was announced. The Caroline Foundation Committee are so grateful to all our supporters for making this such a unique fun fundraiser for Cancer Research in Ireland.

We are extremely grateful to Katya Koliban Photography and Greystones Guide for capturing some great shots. We will be adding more photographs again in the coming days.
