Big “Thank You” to all friends and supporters of The Caroline Foundation. As we ring out the old before ringing in the new it is timely to look back at all we have achieved together in 2014.

In 2014 alone you have helped raise close to € 100,000 for Cancer Research in Ireland.

It is important to emphasise that your money is immediately translated into improved treatment for cancer patients because CCRT is not only working towards better care for future patients diagnosed with cancer but improved treatments for those depending on the Cancer Clinical Trust Research programme TODAY!

We remember with appreciation that:

  • Schools continued to be significant support for the foundation – particular thanks to St. Brigid’s Glasnevin – parents, staff and pupils who work tirelessly to support the foundation’s work, also  St Brigid’s Greystones, Castlepark School, Dalkey,  Willow Park School, Blackrock
  • Marathon and Remembrance Runs featured thanks to Berenice Moran, Nicola Levis, Jane Devlin, Nicola Edwards, Emma Cooney and Imelda O’Reilly
  • Golf Classics – thanks to St Gerard’s Parents Association and Malahide Lions Club
  • Irish Hotels Federation chose The Caroline Foundation as one of the two charities supported by them at outgoing President Michael Vaughan’s Gala Dinner end of February.
  • Individuals, businesses and groups supported The Caroline Foundation with generous donations – thanks to Curves Greystones, Atlantic Philanthropies and Garden of Unicorn, Greystones
  • Paula McClean organised the wonderfully successful Fashionable Cocktail Evening in The Four Seasons hotel
  • The Caroline Foundation Annual Lunch is the mainstay of our fundraising – huge thanks to corporate Ireland and those generous artists and supporters who donate wonderful auction items and raffle prizes.
  • The Caroline Foundation Christmas Cards (so beautifully illustrated by Greystones artist Helen Magee) were  a wonderful  new seasonal addition to fundraising efforts
  • The highlight of the year however, must be May 11 2014 when with your help The Caroline Foundation set a new Guinness World Record for Longest Awareness Ribbon Chain – we leave you with the link to a short video of that event (thanks to Dave Byrne {BrayTube}) Do click on this link and remember that super day:  http://youtu.be/_NenWGwb3tg

Thanks for everything in 2014 – Looking forward to an even better 2015!
