A new drug combination to treat women with metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer that is based on prior preclinical studies from Dublin City University will enter clinical development in a Phase 1 clinical trial named CAROLINE-1.
The Caroline Foundation Climb Pointe Burnaby to Support Cancer Research – On July 04 this year, 18 Irish people will set out to climb the Alpine summit of Pointe Burnaby, a 4,153-metre-high, snow-covered peak near the Matterhorn above Zermatt in Switzerland, all in aid of Greystones-based cancer research charity the Caroline Foundation.

Dr Maria Prencipe, one of the current holders of The Caroline Foundation Fellowship has been awarded the most prestigious SIRG (Starting Investigator Research Grant) grant by Science Foundation Ireland.

The Caroline Foundation held its sixth annual luncheon at The Marker Hotel on Friday 5th October. Over 230 people attended the lunch which as always was hosted by Broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan.
